Intimacy Coordination (IC) is a newly emerging role in film, television, and theater that ensures the safety and well-being of actors when choreographing and recording scenes or moments of physical or emotional intimacy.

This new guide aims to support college-level film and media faculty in introducing IC practices into their classrooms. Designed for instructors in a variety of programs and institutions and for a variety of course levels and types, the guide outlines the principles of IC, strategies for implementing it in the classroom, and questions for discussion with students. The guide provides strategies and approaches based on research and training in the current, evolving field of IC and is co-written by trained intimacy coordinators and media educators in higher education.

Join us for this virtual session with the authors to learn more about IC, how to use the guide in your classes, and how to foster consent-based production culture throughout your media curriculum.
