As a culminating event following the University of Film and Video Association‘s annual conference, EDIT Media will hold an “unconference” and strategic planning meeting at the University of Minnesota on Saturday, August 3rd. The first part of the day will be devoted to discussing issues of inclusion and equity in our field, to be determined by participants, and the second half will be devoted to EDIT Media programming and planning.

The Unconference will be an opportunity for attendees to determine the topics they would like to discuss in relation to equity and inclusion in the field of media production and then to break out into small groups for conversation, resource sharing, resource development, problem-solving, and so on. Attendees are encouraged to come with ideas or questions prepared in advance.
The Strategic Planning session is set aside for those who are or would like to be involved in the coordination, programming, and leadership of EDIT Media. If you have not been involved, but would like to be or would like to know more, you are welcome to attend.
Although dormitories at Augsburg are not available for an additional night past the UFVA conference, the Courtyard Marriott will have twenty rooms available for the extra night at the conference rateof $140/night.
