Whip It (Drew Barrymore, 2009)
Whip It makes use of a split screen in this scene explaining the basics of roller derby. By cutting between live-action practice and hand-drawn plays on a whiteboard next to the coach narrating this sequence, the scene is able to convey the rules of the game, as well as provide interesting visuals and a fast-paced feel that captures the adrenaline of the players.
