Writing “Other” Screenwriting Module is a module on Diversity and Representation in screenwriting. The module includes five parts:

1. Watching videos and discussing the importance of representation.
2. Watching videos and discussing poor representation and lack of representation.
3. A Powerpoint Lecture on “Why Representation Matters to All of Us” explaining empathy, apathy, dehumanization, and objectification.
4. Introduction to Storycorps website as a resource for writing “other.”
5. Assignment to use Storycorps stories to write a five page screenplay featuring “other.”
